At BigTaka, we want your experience to be positive, entertaining, and fun. However, we understand that gambling can sometimes lead to challenges in maintaining control over time and spending. In this section, we offer resources to help you stay within manageable limits and provide guidance for seeking help if you think you might need it.

Recognizing Signs of Problem Gambling

If you’re concerned that you might be playing too much, consider the following indicators. If one or more of these statements apply to you, it may be beneficial to seek professional help. Sections 3 and 4 below provide further guidance on how BigTaka and other resources can assist.

  • You have tried unsuccessfully to reduce, control, or stop gambling.
  • You feel restless or irritable when attempting to cut down on gambling.
  • You gamble to escape problems or relieve feelings of stress or anxiety.
  • After losing money, you return another day to try to “chase” your losses.
  • You have lied to family, friends, or therapists to hide your gambling.
  • You’ve committed illegal acts to finance gambling.
  • Your gambling has jeopardized relationships, jobs, or career opportunities.
  • You rely on others to provide money due to gambling-related financial issues.

Recognizing Problem Gambling in Others

If you suspect a friend or family member may be struggling with gambling, here are some common warning signs:

  • Time: Increasing time spent gambling, often at the expense of other important activities.
  • Financial Issues: Money frequently disappears, the person often borrows money, or has trouble paying bills despite a steady income.
  • Mood Changes: The person may seem more worried, irritable, or show signs of depression and anxiety.
  • Behavior Changes: The person may become isolated and avoid social activities they once enjoyed.

Set Your Limits and Play Responsibly

If you’re concerned about controlling your play, BigTaka offers tools to help set limits. Once activated, limits take effect immediately. Please note that it takes 24 hours to relax or remove a limit, but tightening limits applies instantly. Access your limits in your Play Ok settings.

  • Spending Budget: Control how much you can spend over a set period. Additional deposits are allowed equal to withdrawals made within the same period.
  • Deposit Limit: Restrict the amount you can deposit within a specified period.
  • Wager Limit: Cap the total amount you can bet during a given timeframe.
  • Loss Limit: Limit your net losses over a certain period.
  • Logged-in Time Limit: Set daily limits on how long you can remain logged in. Once reached, you’ll be logged out automatically.
  • Login Time Block: Prevent access to your account during set hours each day.

Take a Break or Self-Exclude

If you feel you need a temporary pause, BigTaka allows you to take a break or self-exclude your account.

  • Take a Break: Suspend your account for up to 6 months. Your account will reopen automatically when your break ends. During this time, you won’t receive emails or texts from us. You can adjust the end date, but early access requires a 24-hour cooldown.
  • Self-Exclusion: If gambling has become concerning, consider excluding yourself for at least 6 months. During this time, you won’t be able to access your account or receive any communications. Once the exclusion period ends, your account will reopen automatically. For indefinite closure and support, contact our live chat team.
